Stephanie & Mike’s Reserva Conchal wedding was such an incredible end to 2016. Because, well, Costa Rica. But besides the obvious, Steph & Mike, created a wedding that was perfectly “them” with the help of the amazing planners at 419 Weddings. Stephanie has Costa Rican heritage – fun fact, her late grandmother was Miss Costa Rica – so it was only fitting that they wed in one of the most beautiful and laid-back countries on earth.
These two lovebirds are born & bred New Yorkers and they LOVE Christmas. They actually first met dressed up in costume at Santa-Con. You’ll see this part of their story come out on the dance floor toward the end of this post. Speaking of the dance floor – these guys threw the best party. All weddings should end with the entire bridal party jumping into a pool. The end. 😉 I like the describe the decor as “tropical minimalism”. The real all-star was the split-leaf philodendron – you know, that cool, wild plant you see popping up all over instagram? Yeah, it really stole the show bring pops of natural green to the entire wedding. Emma’s plant-loving heart was exploding.
This one was a real treat for us, since we’ve traveled and lived for short stints in Costa Rica during our college and recent grad years. We will always love Costa Rica and we’ll travel back any chance we get. Thank you Stephanie & Mike, for welcoming us into your crew like family and giving us the amazing opportunity to document your killer wedding, pura vida style! 🙂
Goooood groomsmen. Haha, we love these guys showing the lost one where to go during the ceremony. 😉
How cool is all of the lucite signage used throughout the wedding!?
When Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” started over the dance floor – the santa hats came out and these two were on fire!
