i knew this day would come… the day when i posted the last few shots documenting our time in europe. if you’ve been keeping up, then you know that we took a week-long jaunt through the netherlands, belgium and italy to conclude our time abroad. we’d been to rome before and venice seemed like a unique and, of course, romantic way to end our trip… plus, let’s be honest… we were on a budget and it was the cheapest place to fly to from belgium. i won’t lie, we were pretty tired and by the time we got to venice we were ALMOST in the let’s-just-get-home phase of our trip, but then we devoured two large pizzas and everything turned out for the better!

we were in venice for the opening day of the world renown biennale di venezia, where only 1 artist is selecting from each country all over the world to display their work! visiting art exhibits from artists all over the world was a fun addition to our trip! also, unbeknownst to us, leonardo dicaprio and blake lively were driving around in water taxis (thanks people magazine!) that weekend too! but more importantly, our schedule consisted of eating pizza and walking until we became hungry which then led us to eat more pizza. i’m pretty disappointed in the fact that i have absolutely NO pictures of pizza for this blog… hmm, i guess we’ll just have to go back! destination italy wedding anyone?
