from time to time i hope to share little tid bits and stories of our life here in spain. this is one of those times. now that we’ve been in spain for a month, it’s really starting to feel like home. we do things very differently here than we would in the states. for example, we don’t have a clothes dryer- practically no one does. at first, i was a little turned off with the idea of hanging each article of clothing up one by one by one… but i’ve found that i really enjoy it. our apartment building has a wonderful patio on the rooftop with an area of about 30 lines for hanging laundry. i’ve really come to love my time spent on the rooftop, looking out over our city as i drape my clothes over the wires. the smell of freshly washed laundry swirls in the air around me and it’s usually one of the most simple and therapeutic moments out of the week.
