ivy & joe | a rustic alabama wedding | swann lake stables

you’ll remember ivy & joe from their fun parkside engagement session. it’s safe to say that i hardly have any words for ivy & joe’s wedding (yes, it was really that perfect!), so i’ll let the images do most of the talking. i will say that wesley and i BOTH drooled over the rustic theme carried throughout their day. ivy & joe, along with guidance from the lovely women at mariee ami, planned a woodsy alabama-themed (no, not the university) wedding that was perfectly styled in every way. the ceremony and reception took place at none other than our favorite venue in birmingham, swann lake stables and the flowers were flawlessly arranged by the amazing buffy hargett. there were a lot of DIY and handmade elements to this stylish wedding too! joe, the groom, built the arbor for the ceremony in his backyard in the months leading up to the big day. the couple also had one of their engagement photos blown up and cut into squares for each guest to sign the back of and place on a board to complete the image like a puzzle – we loved watching this come together throughout the night. although, my favorite part of the night was watching the bride & groom dance the night away while listening to the heavy rain that surrounded the tent on all sides- it was so romantic!

in my honest opinion, there should be cute little barn kitties at every wedding.;)
