funfetti + the pioneer woman

today’s post is a slight continuation of our leftover valentine’s day cheer. as a preface to this post, i have to tell you that this may or may not be highly influenced by the blog of all blogs… the pioneer woman. since being married and learning how to cook, pioneer woman has been my go to and, at times, a lifesaver. now, the following is in all actuality nothing like the lovely pioneer lady would post, because, well, i baked these treats straight up american style… like, as in, from a box. i’ve learned many valuable lessons and gained insight on many things since living abroad/being married- one being how to cook everything from scratch, but when we recently received a care packaged with instant mixes, pastas and 5 minute meals… i was thrilled! a girl needs a little help in the kitchen every once and a while! needless to say, i busted open the lovely box of funfetti valentine’s cupcake mix and went to town! if it hadn’t been for taking all the detail shots, i would have had these babies whipped up and in the oven in 5 minutes flat. so, here is my salute to the pioneer woman and all she has taught me sans the pillsbury box, but seriously, it’s never a bad time for funfetti!
