say hello to the recently engaged sarah + matt! sarah is wesley’s sister and matt is our future brother-in-law! we love matt so much and we are so very happy that he is going to be a part of our big, crazy family! a few weekends ago, we were all in dallas for one of our wedding showers, and what better to do than squeeze an engagement shoot into our already packed schedule! we were so glad that we were able to work it into our trip! and a big plus, we found some AMAZING locations for shoots in the future. we shot a little around plano (where matt is from) and headed to downtown mckinney for a few extras! i hadn’t been to mckinney in ages, but fell in love all over again with it’s quaint downtown scene. if only we had time, we would have spent our entire afternoon perusing antique shops and eating local foods. matt and sarah are getting married december 19th! wesley and i can’t wait to stand next to them on that very special day!

meet our best friends, the hesters! we’ve been good friends with them since way back in college, we were both attendants in their wedding (almost two years ago! crazy!) and we are both photographer couples! basically, when the four of us get together there is no stopping the endless amounts of “photog-talk” that goes on… especially between heather and i! it’s kind of ridiculous how long we can chat about this, that and the other thing. heather and andy currently live in tuscaloosa (our college town) and we miss them tremendously. out of our longing to hang out and our need for engagement pictures, we came up with the idea for a “foursome shoot”. i know, it sounds really sketchy, but it stuck and we didn’t worry about getting too creative with the name.

so, heather h photography took our engagement pictures, while we shot a few of heather and andrew for their new website and as an almost-two-year-anniversary session. i can’t lie, it was pretty crazy being on both sides of the lens- back and forth, back and forth! it wore us out, but we were thankful to get to spend quality time laughing (and sweating) with our sweet friends! if you want to see heather’s amazing work and our engagement photos, check out heather h photography!

ciera’s birthday polaroids

a few detail shots that we snapped with our lovely, little instax mini camera. fujifilm now makes their super fun version of the polaroid camera. this miniature version produces instant images that are about the size of a credit card! how cute! although, we are still excited about what the impossible project is doing and can’t wait to use our old faithful polaroid cams again soon soon!
